Unreal LED Slate Recorder

Why we need this tool?

Team need to save a record for each take during led shoot Each record should contain camera movement information, camera information, start and end time… We need to link the ue level sequence with the camera take file we need to generate google sheet data for each shot

How it works?

Using a Blueprint utility widget, users can input the necessary slate data and initiate recording. This triggers Unreal Engine to capture the animation, settings of the NDC stage, and all camera data. When recording stops, the tool will automatically generate a row of slate data in a Google Sheet.

On first launch on a new machine, the tool will prompt the user to log in with their company Google account. This step grants the tool permission to modify Google Sheets on the shared company drive.

The tool automatically recognizes the current project, generates a new Google Sheet file on the shared drive, and creates a tab for the current date to organize all shot data.

During the shoot, each completed take is also backed up on the NAS, providing an extra layer of data security in case the multi-user session becomes corrupted.
